Toby Grear

Toby "TigerHeart" Grear is the founder and head coach of True Warrior Fitness in Mooresville, NC. He began training jiu-jitsu in 1986 and today holds a black belt in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu.

Toby turned pro in 2001, scoring his first professional knockout in Bournemouth, England. Across 150 sanctioned fights he became a three-time world MMA champion, an undefeated professional boxer and a World Muay Thai title contender, with a notable win over UFC veteran Cub Swanson. He is the only professional fighter in California to win by knockout in boxing, Muay Thai and MMA. His career earned front-page coverage in the L.A. Times and a spot on Spike TV's The Ultimate Fighter, Season 12.

Toby founded True Warrior Fitness in 2004. Now based in Lake Norman, he coaches beginners, kids and pro fighters in boxing, Muay Thai and Gracie Jiu-Jitsu with one mission: discover and develop the warrior within.
